Abstract in another language
The whole German petroleum refining has been simulated by a model refinery of Germany. This model refinery consits of all the major processes that exists today in German refineries or are planned in the near future. Each process is included in the model with the data of the product yields, product qualities and the energy consumption. The accuracy of the model refinery of Germany was verified on the basis of the year 1992: The product yields of the model refinery (from refinery gas up to bitumen), the throughout of each process and the energy consumption of the model refinery correspond well with the actual values of the German petroleum refining.
