Abstract in another language

Numerical simulation of the interplay of mass transport and enzyme kinetics is applied to amperometric enzyme gas sensors. Different geometries and sensor set-ups implying different boundary conditions are compared. With the aid of modelling the behaviour of these systems can be understood and controlled with regard to an improvement of the sensor performance.
