Abstract in another language

A series of three 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxamides with peripheral tertiary N,N-dialkyl-ethylamino substituents with different length of the alkyl groups is reported. In particular, the N1,N3,N5-tris2-(diethylamino)-ethyl-1{,}3{,}5-benzenetricarboxamide exhibits phase separation followed by self-assembly upon heating from aqueous solution into well-defined supramolecular fiber-like structures in the form of microtubes.
