Der Gegenstand dieser Dissertation befasst sich mit der grammatischen Standardisierung der arabischen Sprache in der Frühphase der grammatischen und linguistischen Forschungen im Mittelalter. Die Untersuchung geht von dem Vergleich zwischen drei frühen arabischen Grammatikern, die den Korantext unter Berücksichtigung der arabischen Sprachwissenschaft, z. B. der Grammatik erörtert hatten, aus. Die unter dem Titel „Maʕaaniy al-Qurʔan“, „die Bedeutungen des Korans“ bekannten Werke dieser Grammatiker wurden zu wichtigen Quellen auf diesem Gebiet. Aufgrund einer linguistischen und historisch linguistisch vergleichenden Methode wurde beobachtet, wie sich die Forschung der arabischen Grammatik in dieser Phase entwickelte und welche Einflüsse diese Entwicklung mit sich brachte. Dabei wurden u. a. einige grammatische Termini, die damals entstanden sind und heute keine Anwendung mehr in der arabischen Grammatik haben, erörtert. Die Dissertation stellt darüber hinaus einen kurzen Überblick über die Gründe und Arten der Standardisierung der Sprachen vor. Hierzu wurden die Standardsprachen Swahili und Deutsch als Beispiele genommen, und dann mit der Standardisierung der arabischen Sprache verglichen.

Abstract in another language

This thesis discusses the standardization of the Arabic language at the very beginning of the Arabic linguistic and syntactic science in the Middle Ages by comparing the writings of three early Arabic grammarians about the Holy Quraan interpretation. Their interpretation is based on syntax and other branches of Arabic science. The books of these grammarians are considered as important sources and references in this domain and known in Arabic as Maʕaaniy al-Qurʔan. The historical and comparative linguistics helps to follow the methods which used to be adopted for developing the study and research of Arabic syntax and the improvements which accompanied it along with explaining some idioms which appeared with syntax at this time and have become obsolete nowadays. Furthermore, the thesis introduces a small section about the reasons and ways of standardizing languages. German and Swahili are introduced as examples of the standardized languages. In addition, the thesis makes a comparison among the three languages in terms of the reasons of standardization.
