Abstract in another language
Examination of the vibrational transitions of NaNO2 fluorescence yields asymmetric lineshapes which are attributed to the exciton dispersion of the excited state as well as to the vibron dispersion of the ground state. We have studied fluorescence excitation spectra and their dependence on detection energy and temperature. The dependence on the detection energy changes drastically at a critical temperature of about 15 K. This leads to the conclusion that at lower temperatures the excitons are not thermalized during their lifetime.
