The aim of this master thesis is the design and simulation of a nonlinear control concept for a hydraulic test bench. In addition to the trajectory tracking task of the controller, the test bench should exert a specific force on the steering system. This force should correspond to the one of a virtual axle attachment. The application of a flatness-based control approach, allowing for the design of a nonlinear, piecewise-defined control law, is shown. Performance tests of the new nonlinear control scheme, as well as comparisons with the current linear scheme are realized in the Matlab/Simulink environment.
