Abstract

Startling rise of carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere has become a serious concern to scientists and others. Obviously, reduction of CO2 will be ideal to save the future world but increasing number of population and their belongings is the major drawback to imply this. While the Covid-19 pandemic reduced the CO2 concentration temporarily in the last two years, but still carbon dioxide concentrations are at a record high. This high concentration clearly has a strong impact on nature and biodiversity. Every country should act now on an urgent basis to bring the earth on a right track by lowering the CO2 concentration. This is for sure, if we are not lowering the production of fossil fuel every year, this situation will not improve, rather it will deteriorate sharply. Developed countries have taken plan to shut down the coal plants and started building up renewable plants. As early as September 2020, China has announced that it will increase its national independent contribution, adopt more powerful policies and measures to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060 [1]. Furthermore, we have to adopt the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to make our world a better living place. We also have to take a serious consideration to put “carbon tax”. While it’s still debatable how to implement it in a progressive manner, this can certainly help to reduce CO2 emission.
