Abstract in another language
The demand for cost-effective and efficient exhaust gas aftertreatment systems can only be satisfied by advanced control strategies. A new approach is the combination of a microwave-based in-situ catalyst state observation with a model based oxygen storage level control. In this contribution, three new strategies to control the oxygen storage level in a three-way-catalyst (TWC) are presented and compared to a state-of-the-art air-fuel ratio control. In order to realize fast development time without expensive test bench runs, the rapid control prototyping technology is applied. Therefore a complex catalyst model is used to represent the experimental setup.
