Abstract in another language

The integration of digital technologies into professional team-sports offers professional team-sports clubs the potential to innovate their value creation, to widen their portfolio of service offerings and emotional bonding to new fan groups and stakeholders turning into new business models. However, nowadays, we just see the beginning of an entire transformation of the industry, which will contain much more than just digitized offerings such as digital ticketing, or live streaming.
With our study we analyze professional team-sports clubs to understand current activities in digital transformation and to support the industry with a strategic approach regarding the application of digital technologies. Thus, we constitute the main challenges in managing the digital transformation in professional team-sports clubs by answering the following research question.
RQ: How to manage the digital transformation in professional team-sports clubs?
