Abstract in another language

Sensor effects can be produced by force field calculations if the formation of host-guest complexes determines the sensor signal. Strong support for this supramolecular recognition is available by BET analysis. This method allows the determination of the number of strong complexing sites in the layer and the corresponding heats of adsorption that are in good agreement with calculated data. Additionally, the host-guest interaction can be pursued by FT-IR spectroscopy using CDCl_{5} as sensitive probe. These ideas an be used to design rugged functionalized polymeric sensor materials that fulfill the requirements of practical sensoric operation.
