Abstract in another language

In applications with constantly high c-rates, the necessary battery mass depends not only on the required energy, the losses and the energy density of the used cell, but also on the ability of the cell to provide the application with the requested power at different boundary conditions and within their operating limits. In this paper a simple datasheet based electrical and thermal model, which was implemented in Matlab to determine the necessary battery mass for a given power vs. time profile, is analyzed to grade various parameters (e.g. ambient temperature, cooling conditions, internal resistance) in consideration of their influence on the resulting battery mass.
