Abstract in another language

The complex task of developing products, which are both environmentally and economically appropriate, requires thus an overall viewpoint, which can only be achieved by an integrated product development, whereby new methods and tools are applied.
In the same manner, the increasing complexity of technical products requires the integration of interdisciplinary know-how. This comprehensive knowledge is usually not furnished by individual enterprises The cooperation of different subjects already in early phases of the product development is here pioneering.
Consequently, the global approach demands, by means of extended specifications, an abandonment of conventional ways of solution building and leads to an "extension of the horizon" to completely new insights in the product development, which then lead to innovative solutions, which in turn, lead to competitive products.
