Abstract in another language

We study the dynamics of strongly confined semiconductor quantum dots, coupled to acoustic phonons and driven by external laser pulses, by a numerical path integral method. Our method fully explores the relevant memory of the system thus accounting for all non-Markovian features of the dynamics. The decay time and the frequency of Rabi oscillations are found to depend notably on the temperature and the applied field. The field dependence is non-monotonic leading to an undamping of Rabi oscillations at high pulse areas.
