Cardiac insufficiency is a frequently occurring disease and leads to severe restrictions of organ functions and resilience. For many patients, the exercise intolerance is an unsatisfactory situation in everyday life. In the overview, pathophysiological basics of cardiac insufficiency are presented and the opportunities of the practical sports therapy and kinesiotherapy in secondary prevention are shown and discussed.
