Abstract in another language

Steel plant operators demand minimum maintenance caused downtimes and highest performance of their taphole system. RHI’s i-TAP system offers both.
The revolutionary segmented sleeve system is characterized by a jointless inner surface and combines the properties of an iso-pressed single sleeve taphole with the performance of coaxial pressed, carbon bonded, magnesia carbon bricks.
Customized design using CFD guarantees highest lifetime and a maximum utilization of the refractory material within the run-out-time limits.
