Körpertechnik wird in der Theaterwissenschaft im Sinne von Mauss als Habitus gedacht. In diesem Beitrag geht es im Rückgriff auf Leroi-Gourhan und Stiegler um einen prozessualen Technikbegriff, der den Prozess der Einverleibung und nicht dessen Produkt (i.e. der Habitus) untersucht. Am Beispiel eines historischen Lehrbuchs der Sprecherziehung wird das Wechselspiel von Schrift, Sprechen und Körper aufgezeigt.

This article will interest all Brits and Americans, and the rest of the English-speaking world interested in the history of elocution, voice, and speech. Looking at Elsie Fogerty's seminal book "The Speaking of the English Verse" (1923), it reconstructs the rise of speech therapy, phonetic alphabeth, and early actor training in light of an admittedly rather contemporary, or shall I say French (Leroi-Gourhan, Bernard Stiegler) reflection of technology and embodiment. Unfortunately, the article is in German, a language Twain ranted no human being has the lifetime to properly command it. Too bad.
