Der Klimawandel existiert, ist menschengemacht und hat riesige Kosten. Kürzlich schätze ein offizieller US-Klimabericht die Schäden um das Jahr 2100 alleine in den USA auf mehrere 100 Milliarden Dollar jährlich. Doch das ist nichts Neues. Ähnliche Schätzungen gibt es schon lange. Das Kyoto-Protokoll als wichtiges Element des Klimaschutzes ist über 20 Jahre alt. Zuvor und danach gab es internationale Großkonferenzen, wie jene in Paris oder Kattowitz. Dabei werden die Klimaziele der Politiker immer ehrgeiziger. Nur: Die tatsächlichen Emissionen steigen weiter an. Wann kommt die Wende?
