Im Kampf gegen die Corona-Krise wagt Deutschland Neues: Zur Konjunkturbelebung wird vorübergehend die Mehrwertsteuer gesenkt. Auf den ersten Blick geht es da um viel Geld für unsichere Erträge. Tatsächlich aber könnte die deutsche Mehrwertsteuersenkung – pointiert gesagt – für die Zukunft der Menschheit entscheidend werden: Sie bietet den perfekten Einstieg in eine vernünftige und wirksame Klimapolitik.
