Elastic Particle Foam Material Based on Polyolefin/Styrene Polymer Mixtures.

Abstract in another language

The invention relates to elastic particle foam materials and to a method for producing particle foam materials found by sintering a mixture comprising foam material particles P1 and P2 from differing thermoplastic polymers or polymer mixtures, wherein the foam material particles P1 are obtained by pre-expanding expandable, thermoplastic polymer particles, comprising A) 45 to 97.9 weight percent of a styrene polymer, B1) 1 to 45 weight percent of a polyolefine having a melting point in the range from 105 to 140 DEG C, B2) 0 to 25 weight percent of a polyolefine having a melting point under 105DEG C, C1) 0.1 to 25 weight percent of a styrene butadiene or styrene-isoprene-block copolymer, C2) 0.0 to 10 weight percent of a styrene-ethylene-butylene-block copolymer, D) 1 to 15 weight percent of a propellant, E) 0 to 5 weight percent of a nucleating agent, wherein the sum of A) through E); results in 100 weight percent.
