Die Zielsetzung der Arbeit besteht in der Etablierung filmischer Naturerfahrung im Diskurs einer ökologischen Ästhetik. Wegweisend für die Studie ist die Verknüpfung phänomenologischer Filmtheorie mit dem Philosophieentwurf von Gernot Böhme, der das leibliche Empfinden als essenzielles Moment menschlicher Naturzugehörigkeit begreift. Ausgehend von den somatisch-affektiven Anteilen der Filmrezeption werden deren Dynamiken hinsichtlich der Konstitution von Naturbildern erschlossen. Als kulturelle Praktik des gesellschaftlichen Lebens nehmen Filme unmittelbar Einfluss auf die Genese ästhetischer Vorstellungen, die das Verhältnis des Menschen zu sich selbst und seiner Umwelt mitbestimmen. Der Einbezug des menschlichen Leibes in den filmischen Sinnbildungsprozess ist aus dem Blickwinkel der ökologischen Ästhetik von zentraler Bedeutung für individuelle und kollektive Naturkonzeptionen. Über die Verschränkung von ökologischer, phänomenologischer und rezeptionsästhetischer Forschung soll anhand der (im)mediaten, filmischen Erfahrung eine anschlussfähige Perspektive für die konkrete Umsetzung einer ökologischen Naturästhetik eröffnet werden.

The work is intended to establish the cinematic experience of nature in the discourse of ecological aesthetics. The study is guided by the linking of phenomenological film theory with the philosophical concept of Gernot Böhme, who understands bodily sensing as an essential moment of human belonging to nature. Starting from the somatic-affective parts of film reception, its dynamics are developed with regard to the constitution of images of nature. As a cultural practice of social life, films have a direct influence on the genesis of aesthetic ideas that establish the relationship of humans to themselves and their environment. From the perspective of an ecological aesthetic, the inclusion of the human body in the cinematic process of creating meaning is of central importance for individual and collective conceptions of nature. By interweaving ecological, phenomenological and reception-aesthetic research, the (im)mediated, cinematic experience of nature will be used to open up a perspective for the concrete implementation of an ecological aesthetic.
