Abstract in another language
Crowd logistics has gained increasing attention in the scientific literature over the past decade. Real-world implementations, however, are still scarce. To improve understanding and facilitate real-world implementations, we explore crowd logistics delivery systems’ robustness and system behavior. To this end, we combine a literature review with a systems thinking approach. Our findings show several limits to success and other prevailent system archetype structures in these systems. The results highlight the importance of integrating a dedicated delivery fleet and platform support to maintain system momentum. Furthermore, the generated insights can help managers to understand how to incorporate crowd logistics successfully.
