Abstract in another language

Shortening processing time and increasing the quality of process outcomes are two of the main goals of most companies regarding business processes. Business Process Management (BPM) is used to realize these company goals. One of the fundamentals of executing business processes often neglected during process optimization are human resources. Considering other user-centered domains, recommender systems often support users during decisions to increase user satisfaction. This inspired us to apply techniques established by recommender systems in the BPM domain since employee satisfaction significantly influences productivity. Thus, considering user preferences during business process execution leads employees to be more satisfied and productive. We proposed a recommendation service that exploits the information from event logs to guide users during process execution. In this paper, we refine this approach and make it more effective. In addition, as another major contribution of this paper, a proof of concept implementation is conducted to show the feasibility of our concept.
