Abstract in another language

Smart City Solutions are crucial in enabling smart and sustainable cities. They use digital technolo-gies to reach economic, ecological, and social sustainability objectives. Since the sustainability value creation process is complex, time-consuming, and it involves multiple stakeholders at different levels, organizations struggle to find a starting point for sustainability value assessment. Municipalities and other organizations need a tool to evaluate Smart City Solutions’ sustainability value to make invest-ment decisions and pursue sustainability goals. In this paper, we followed the design science research paradigm to develop a sustainability value model and identify value levers for Smart City Solutions. To derive design objectives as well as to perform the demonstration and evaluation of our model, we conducted 15 expert interviews. Further, we identified sustainability value levers by reviewing relevant literature. As a result, our proposed model offers a foundation for effective sustainability value as-sessment for Smart City Solutions.
