Abstract in another language

A rigorous and efficient lumped-element circuit model for the pertinent parasitics of mobile radio low-loss surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters incorporating many interdigital transducers is presented. The model parameters can be derived from a knowledge of the device geometry without recourse to optimization methods. We identify the sources of unwanted features in the filter characteristics due to the influence of the measurement setup, the package and the layout itself. The model evaluates the influence of the Ohmic losses in connection pads and bond wires, coupling capacitances between pads, and inductive effects due to the bond wires. The model parameters are determined by either experiment or analysis. The feasibility of the simulation model is demonstrated by applying it respectively to a 15-transducer single-track and 22-transducer twin-track SAW filter in the 900 MHz band.
