Recent work from Dan Li and co-workers, published in the March issue of Chem, reports the application of a cyclic trinuclear AgI pyrazolate complex (Ag3Pz3) as an adaptive crystallization agent for a series of difficult-to-crystallize organic molecules. Ag3Pz3 was also employed for the direct structural elucidation of organic compounds from mixtures in addition to natural products in crude extracts.
