In today's world, sustainability and digitalization are essential for building resilient and future-proof organizations. The phenomenon of twin transformation, integrating digital and sustainability transformation, offers enormous potential for creating business value. However, understanding twin transformation value is complex due to its multifaceted nature, which extends beyond purely economic value creation. In this paper, we followed a structured literature review to develop six twin transformation strategies, twelve twin transformation mechanisms, and several value levers, which describe the value-adding outcomes that result from implementing the twin transformation strategies and mechanisms. To evaluate our results with researchers and practitioners, we conducted seven expert interviews and a focus group. Our results conceptualize twin transformation value from an environmental, social, and governance perspective. Hence, we offer starting points for future research on twin transformation value creation and provide practical guidance for organizations to realize the business value of twin transformation.
