Abstract in another language
Naivety is often related to ‘wildness’, ‘primitiveness’, ’foolishness’ – but also to vulnerability – and often in gendered forms. This study examines the poetics of naivety in the works of various authors, such as Schiller, Hölderlin, Freud, Weil, Arendt, Szondi, and Derrida. It also delves into the significance of naivety within contemporary critical, indigenous, feminist thought, and mad studies as well as various ‚modernist’ aesthetic artifacts, such as literature, poetry, and painting. Through this approach, it attempts to explore the critical potential, which seems to be connoted with the notion — subversive to late capitalism and authoritative gestures.
