Abstract
According to Wojahn in this volume (p. 308 onwards) “the time period in focus [for this volume], 2015–2017, is characterized by the highest number of displaced people ever recorded in human history. In 2017, 68,5 million people worldwide were “forcibly displaced” as a result of persecution, conflict, violence, or human rights violations (UNHCR 2017).
