Abstract in another language

Four species are described here as new for neotropical Jobinia: J. colombiana (Colombia), J. birostellata and J. vallegrandensis (Bolivia) and J. pentacuspidata (Bolivia and Ecuador). Furthermore, two new combinations are proposed (J. anderssonii, J. longirostrum) and one lectotype (for J. chlorantha) and one neotype (for J. longirostrum) are designated. The description of J. colombiana extends the known distribution of the genus to Colombia, and the discovery of samples of J. connivens in Argentina expands the known distribution of this species. A phylogeny for Jobinia based on molecular data is presented, all the species discussed are illustrated and a distribution map is provided.
