Abstract

Our aim with this book is:
To provide for a student of the engineering sciences from the 3rd semester and the engineer already standing in the job well-chosen aspects of the finite elements in such a way that he can transform this knowledge immediately for the solution of practical problems.

We add the book two FE programs on DVD: The Open-Source finite elements program for static calculations Z88 as well as the very comfortable and much more powerful freeware finite elements program Z88Aurora which controls then also non-linear calculations, stationary heat fluxes and natural frequencies. Both are full versions with which arbitrarily big structures can be computed - the limits are pulled only by your computer concerning main storages and disc storage and your powers of imagination. Z88 and Z88Aurora come ready-to-run for Windows, LINUX, as well as Mac OS X.
