Im Auftrag der Kassenärztlichen Bundesvereinigung erstellte ein Team der Universität Bayreuth und der Oberender AG Ende 2018 ein Gutachten für Intersektorale Gesundheitszentren (IGZ). Durch eine konsequente Herleitung des Versorgungsbedarfs einer ländlichen Region sowie durch die praxisnahe und detaillierte Ausgestaltung einer Fallstudie hebt sich das Gutachten von den vielen existierenden Konzepten ab. Das breite und nachhaltige Interesse an den Ergebnissen sowie das nahezu ausschließlich positive Feedback macht deutlich, dass das IGZ eine relevante Versorgungslücke adressiert. Verschiedene Hürden sind jedoch vor einer erfolgreichen Implementierung zu überwinden.
