Apotheken nehmen wichtige Aufgaben der öffentlichen Gesundheitsversorgung wahr. Gleichzeitig sind Apotheken eigenständige Unternehmen, die sich ökonomischen Herausforderungen stellen müssen. Die aktuelle politische Diskussion über eine generelle Pflicht zur Einführung eines Qualitätsmanagementsystems (QMS-Pflicht) für Apotheken zeigt: Ein Blick auf das Instrumentarium des Dienstleitungsmanagements kann sich auch für Apotheken lohnen.
