Der Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über individuelle Unterschiede bei der Lösung komplexer Probleme. Betrachtet werden Unterschiede in Wissen und Fertigkeiten, in Parametern der Informationsverarbeitung und in motivationalen Variablen. Das bereichsspezifische Vorwissen wird dabei als stärkste Einflussvariable identifiziert. Charakteristisch für Problemlöseprozesse sind Veränderungen im Wissen und in der Motivation, was den Einfluss vorab erhobener Variablen schmälert. Für die zukünftige Forschung wird gefordert, die zentrale Rolle von Strategien näher zu untersuchen, sie mit Aufgabenanalysen zu verknüpfen und Simulationsmodelle weiter zu entwickeln.
Abstract in another language
The article gives a short review of individual differences in solving complex problems, considering differences in knowledge and skills, in parameters of information processing, and in motivational variables. Domain specific prior knowledge is found to be the most influential variable. During problem solving, knowledge and motivation are typically subject to change. This attenuates the influence of variables measured at the outset of problem solving. In future research, the central role of strategies should be further investigated.
