Gassensor zur Detektion von Stickoxiden in einem Gasgemisch mit - einem Sauerstoffionenleiter und - wenigstens zwei auf dem Sauerstoffionenleiter angeordneten Elektroden, wobei die Elektroden aus dem gleichen Material bestehen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Gassensor derart gestaltet ist, dass bei einem Betrieb des Gassensors beide Elektroden mit dem Gasgemisch in Kontakt treten.

A gas sensor for detecting nitrogen oxides in a gaseous mixture, comprising an oxygen ion conductor and at least two electrodes mounted on the oxygen ion conductor, the electrodes consisting of the same material; characterised in that the gas sensor is designed so that during operation of the gas sensor both electrodes come into contact with the gaseous mixture.
