Abstract in another language

Low Temperature Co-firing Ceramics (LTCC) technology is well-established in microelectronic industry. During the past thirty years, LTCC tapes were developed from simple insulating substrate material into active layers with different specific electrical properties e.g. high permittivity or permeability.
The development of LTCC-materials was not only focused on different glass-ceramic compositions but also on the improvement of LTCC-technology as well. Tape technology was always connected with shrinkage of tapes during sintering. The shrinkage value depends on material composition, lamination parameters, metallization coverage and firing profile. The shrinkage of the substrate in x-y direction during firing can be disadvantageous for multilayer technology, especially when some post-firing processes are necessary. Hence, in the last years different zero-shrinkage methods were introduced.
This paper gives an overview on different zero-shrinkage methods and materials as well as it presents possible applications and discusses some compatibility issues with other thick-film materials.
