Abstract in another language
An enzymatic sensor system detecting the analyte formaldeyhde straight from the gas phase is under investigation. In contrast to existing systems it enables the quantification of the analyte without prior accumulation and thus can be used as an online-system for direct monitoring of formaldehyde in ambient air. The aim of current studies was to collect more information about the individual reaction steps involved in the whole sensing process and to find out which components dominate the stability of the sensor.
