Abstract in another language
In this contribution, a low-power consuming sensor device is presented. As a novel ceramic transducer tape material, strontium aluminate has been investigated. It is thus possible to integrate p-type conducting SrTi1-xFexO3-d as a sensor thick film, which is known to react with alumina or silica containing tapes. With respect to machinability and power consumption, the multilayer sensor was found to perform as well as commercially available tapes. Although the strontium aluminate substrate material cannot be used for oxygen sensor applications above 600 °C due to a phase transition occurring at 650 °C, sensor performance for hydrocarbon sensing was very good. In order to improve selectivity of the sensitive SrTi1-xFexO3-d layer, the use of a zeolite cover layer was studied.
