Abstract in another language

A miniaturized differential calorimeter chip has been developed as an alternative to conventional DSC devices with limited heating rates and large size. The compact sensor is manufactured in Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics (LTCC) technology and features high heating and cooling rates due to its low thermal mass. The integration of a weighing system into the DSC chip extends the system to include the functionality of thermogravimetry (TG) and lays the foundation for a new type of miniaturized Simultaneous Thermal Analysis (STA) device. For this purpose, a resonant setup is used, which is based on the mass-dependent frequency change. The DSC chip is excited to vibrations and a change in mass is inferred by determining the resonant frequency. The frequency measurement can be performed using strain gauges, optical or acoustic methods. In our talk, first results of a measurement system consisting of a transient excitation in combination with a measurement via screen-printed strain gauges will be presented.
