Metal halide perovskites have emerged as a hot research topic due to their excellent opto-electronic properties and versatile processing methods. Here we highlight our recent insights on solution-based and powder-based perovskite film fabrication. By means of optic in-situ measurements we gain insights of how to control film formation and how additives influence crystallization. We spotlight how to optimize perovskite powder synthesis and how powders can be further processed to thin films and solar cells by powder aerosol deposition and hot-pressing.
