Abstract

SpringerBriefs in Law and Regulation & Innovation present summaries of cutting-edge research and practical applications across the wide spectrum of regulatory law. Regulation has established itself as an important component of the legal system. It aims to achieve the common good in the interaction between administration and private individuals and occurs alongside the other central (administrative) legal functions of limiting state power to protect freedom, averting dangers, regulating the direct provision of state services and the general provision of legal rules for social development. SpringerBriefs in Law and Regulation & Innovation are dedicated to the understanding, systematic recording and dogmatic processing of such regulatory regimes. It is open for basic questions, central elements and new developments in the regulatory law. The focus is on legal regimes to secure results that promote the common good from and through economic competition, such as those found in network economies and increasingly in the food as well as in the health sector etc. Featuring compact volumes of 50 to 125 pages, the series covers a range of content from mainly professional but also academic.
