Abstract in another language

Zeolites are used as sensitive layers for gas sensors due to their adsorption properties. The selectivity of such sensors depends on the applied zeolite type and might also be influenced by ion-exchange. We investigated the ammonia (NH3) sensitivity of copper (Cu)- or zinc (Zn)- exchanged ZSM-5 zeolites. A proton-containing H-ZSM5 was used as reference. Capacitance changes were measured on planar interdigital capacitors. In comparison, the ion-exchanged zeolites showed a lower sensitivity to ammonia.
