Jacob Moreno (1889 – 1974) gilt als der Begründer der Soziometrie und des Psychodramas. Vor seiner Immigration nach Amerika war er in Wien Teil eines lebhaften Zirkels aus Künstlern, Schauspielern, Journalisten und Schriftstellern. Der studierte Mediziner entwickelte das Stehgreiftheater und wirkte u. a. an der Erfindung eines Apparates mit, der Bild und Ton erstmals synchronisieren sollte (ein sogenannter Radio-Film).
